THE LEGACY

Established in 1999 by her four daughters Malika, Kisha, Aisha, and Jamila to honor and preserve the memory of their beloved mother, The Judy M. Braithwaite Family Foundation, Inc. has continued with its initial goal set forth and has further evolved. All graduates of their alma mater Hampton High School, located in Hampton, Virginia, these women individually and collectively capture the essence of their mother through their professional and personal endeavors.

Professionally, the daughters of the late Judy M. Braithwaite have excelled in the Medical and Public Health fields, Psychology and Clinical Research, Law, and Finance, respectively. Dr. Malika B. Gooden is the Principal Doctor of the integrative Chiropractic and Physical Therapy practice Premier Spine Center (PSC) located in downtown Silver Spring, MD. Dr. Kisha B. Holden is a Professor, the Satcher-Pouissant Endowed Chair in Mental Health, and the Director of Research and Scholarship for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Morehouse School of Medicine. Aisha B. Flucker, JD serves as the Assistant Deputy Attorney General, Family Services Division for the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia. Jamila B. Phifer, Senior Vice President, is a Market Sales Executive for Capital One. The achievements of these women are undoubtedly accomplishments that their mother would be proud of and speaks volumes to the social and educational foundation laid within their core family by their parents; with their mother as one of their role models. 

 Judy M. Braithwaite’s four daughters, with the support of their own families, are committed to raising funds through the JMBF Foundation, Inc., supporting students with an annual financial award, and honoring humility within humanity to memoralize and maintain their mother’s legacy; which is further enhanced by the intellectual acumen and charm of her four grandchildren – Myla, Zara, Amir, and David - who like their grandmother, shine brightly and are all destined for greatness!
